Anthony Anderson Nominated for a 2019 Emmy Award
Nominations for the 71st Emmy® Awards were announced today by the Television Academy and Anthony Anderson received a nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for black-ish. Celebrity presenters Ken Jeong and D'Arcy Carden announced the nominations this morning.
Anderson was nominated for his portrayal of Andre "Dre" Johnson, a father who often struggles to find the best way to parent alongside his wife, Rainbow (Tracee Ellis Ross). The 2019 Emmy Awards will telecast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 22, (8:00 - 11:00 PM ET/5:00 - 8:00 PM PT) on FOX.
