Recap: The Top 20 Perform for America's Votes and the Top 14 is Revealed!

It was the most dramatic week of "American Idol" 2024 yet as the Top 20 Idol hopefuls performed a song of their choice to capture America's vote once more and the results from the Top 24 vote were revealed on Sunday. Then Monday, live from Hollywood, the Top 20 took the stage again as host Ryan Seacrest revealed the 10 hopefuls America had voted to advance. Ending the night, Judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie selected the remaining four to round out the Top 14. Lauren Spencer Smith returns to "American Idol" to sing "Fingers Crossed"


The competition only gets tougher from here starting SUNDAY when "American Idol" goes LIVE COAST-TO-COAST 8e/5p on ABC. Performing live from Hollywood in front of judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie, the Top 14 take on songs from Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees as America votes. By the end of the show, the Top 12 will be revealed. And MONDAY the competition heats up as the Top 12 perform their favorite Billboard No. 1 hits live from Hollywood, giving their all to earn America's vote once more. Two Idol journeys will come to an end as the Top 10 will be solidified by the end of the night.
