This woman challenged her family to only buy Black for a year
Maggie Anderson, author of ‘Our Black Year’ challenged herself and her family to only shop at Black-owned businesses for an entire year. They saved every receipt and documented every step of their journey in a quest to study how the American financial system disproportionally affects Black Americans. “We proved that if I certain segment of America were to just increase their spending with Black-owned businesses by 7%... we could create a million new American jobs.”
