Oldest Female Competitive Diver In The Country
Viki Tamaradze is a 92-year-old competitive diver. The artist and anthropology researcher from Berkeley was swimming when she first began watching divers at practice and thought, “I want to try that.” And, with dedication and training, she has! For the last six years, Viki has been competing in the 90-to-100-year-old category where she is essentially the lone competitor. Coach Holtzheimer describes her as the oldest female competitive diver in the country. It’s fine with Viki who says she’s happy competing against herself to improve her performance.
